Mass Verify is a tool designed for developers and report designers using Crystal Reports 10 or XI. Mass Verify will save you time and money and can save you from embarrassing mistakes. Mass Verify can also help eliminate the need for keeping multiple copies of reports.

Who needs Mass Verify?

Do you make design changes to your database? If so, then you'll have to verify the database on every report that uses the modified table structures. This could take hours whereas Mass Verify can verify the database at 20 to 30 reports per minute1!

Do you use a different database connection string than your client? Let Mass Verify change them for you. For example: You use MSSQL and your server location is SERVER1ACCOUNTING but the client uses GDTMSSQL1. This could be a huge problem in deployment; especially if your client requires a user name and password to log in and you use Windows Authentication. On the other hand, with Mass Verify this is no problem at all. You would simply select the properties you wish to change and what the new values should be2.

What does it do?

By changing the database connection properties, you will be able to maintain a single set of reports that could point to 2 different sets of data. Run Mass Verify to change which set of data the reports are point at.

Mass Verify is a Crystal Reports Tool designed for CR10 or CRXI users. It can be used to set the database location or to change other database connection settings. It will verify all your Crystal Reports in less time that it would for you to do it by hand.

Mass Verify also has a special feature for Visual Dataflex users who are using the Native Dataflex tables. You can set a connection property for a default data path which can be used to change where Crystal Reports looks for each table. On your development system, you may have your tables located on "C:/Workspaces/Accounting/Data" and your client may have them installed on "G:/Accounting/Data". With Mass Verify, it can change all your report locations so they match your client's install2.

1. Results will vary based on hardware. For best results, Mass Verify should be installed and run from the same machine the reports are located on. Results are based on actual client reports. Approximately 420 reports were verified on a Pentium4, 3.0GHz machine with 1GB of RAM in 20 minutes.

2. The connection must be a valid connection which may require Mass Verify to be installed and run on the client's network.
